Focus and Scope

Physics Education Research Journal is medium of communication for researchers, lecturers, teachers, practitioners, and University students that publishes original article in physics and physics education. The journal reports significant new findings related to physics education theory, physics curriculum, physics learning evaluation, learning media, learning methods considering Unity of Sciences (local wisdom and enriched with the principal of religion and culture). Theoretical physics and the current issue of applied physics are also welcome, However, the article related and integrated to the value of religion and culture will be prioritized.

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript will be reviewed by reviewer teams. The manuscript will be reviewed by leading expert in the field. The review process runs single-blind (Author does not know who is reviewing) and takes approximately one month after the manuscript is sent to the reviewer. The assessment will be including originality, novelty appropriate to the focus and scope, and truth of content. After the reviewers give comments to improve the contents of the manuscript, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision. After the revised manuscript is received by editor, it is assigned to the reviewers for approval of changes. The final decision to publish including the sequence of published articles is made by Editor in Chief. Language used in this journal is English or Bahasa Indonesia.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Physics Education Research Journal (PERJ) is a peer-reviewed journal, published biannually by Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University (UIN) Walisongo Semarang Indonesia. It is available online and printed as open access sources. The publication of this journal is the responsibility of authors, reviewers, and editorial team. We appreciate the contributions of all involved parties. The Ethical Codes of Scientific Publication upholds values of ethics in publications, including: free from conflicts, free from falsification, duplication and plagiarism, and also truth of content.
