The empowerment of women through Women Farmer Groups (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT) is essential for enhancing the economic stability of households and fostering community development. This research seeks to examine the empowerment process, the dynamics of gender relationships, and the socio-economic effects arising from KWT activities in Tamanmartani Village, Sleman Regency. A qualitative methodology has been utilized, focusing on a case study approach. Findings reveal that empowerment is realized through multi-level training sessions, business guidance, strengthening of institutions, and the creation of partnership networks. These initiatives lead to advancements in technical skills, enhanced self-confidence, economic self-sufficiency, and increased agency for women in making decisions. Gender dynamics within families and communities are shifting towards greater equality, evidenced by rising support for women’s productive endeavors. Nonetheless, challenges to sustainability persist, especially regarding access to funding, innovation in products, and legality of business operations. The restricted availability of certifications and official production facilities hampers market growth. The study concludes that empowerment through KWT significantly elevates the economic and social status of women, but it is essential to develop gender-sensitive policies and foster greater collaboration among stakeholders to achieve inclusive and enduring empowerment.
