JPW (Jurnal Politik Walisongo) is published by the Political Science Study Program - Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo Semarang, Central Java Indonesia. JPW focuses on issues related to democracy, the state and governance, Islamic politics, and political science, particularly concerning political dynamics in Global South countries. The journal specializes in various subfields of political science, including democratization studies, Islamic politics, global politics, political economy, environmental politics, gender and politics, and local politics.
The journal publishes both articles and research reports that explore established and applied political science perspectives, as well as diverse approaches to political studies in the context of the Global South countries. Contributions from scholars in related disciplines are warmly welcomed. Priority is given to submissions that address recent developments and demonstrate novelty in their subject matter.
