Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Article is an original paper that should be written in Indonesian or English approximately 5000-7000 words. All submission include maximum 250 words abstract and 3-5 keywords. Quotations, passages, and words in local or foreign languages should be translated into Indonesian or English.

The type of manuscripts are acceptable for publication is Original Research Articles.

All manuscripts must be submitted to At-Taqaddum Editorial Office by Online Submission at E-Journal portal address  https://journal.walisongo.ac.id/index.php/attaqaddum/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions where author register as Author and/or offered as Reviewer by online. Manuscript Template

Reviewing of Manuscripts

Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least one peer-reviewer. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation. If single or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors.

Revision of Manuscripts

Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to editorial office through the Online Submission Interface.

Manuscript Heading, Font, and Spacing

The manuscript should be typed using MS Word. The font used throughout the paper is Times New Roman. The paper size is A4 (i.e., 210 x297 mm), with a2.5 cmmargin at the top, a2.5 cmmargin at the bottom,2.5 cmmargin on the left, andn2 cmmargin on the right. The text is 1.5 spaced except abstract single spaced, justified, uses a 12-point font; Garamond, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.  Page numbers should be included in the text located in the footer section of each page.

When submitting a manuscript, the author guarantees that the same manuscript or a similar version has not been submitted to any other journal or publication. Submissions must be accompanied by footnotes, and must also be accompanied by a full bibliography of works cited in the text. Spelling, capitalization, and punctuation must be consistent within each article.

Manuscript submitted to this journal should follow the heading below: Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; The E-mail Address; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Result, Discussion; Conclusion; and References

Tables and Figures

Tables are sequentially numbered with the table title and number above the table. Tables should be centered in the column OR on the page. Tables should be followed by a line space (12pt). Elements of a table should be 1.5 spaced. Tables are referred in the text by the table number, e.g., Table 1. Do not show the vertical line in the table. There is only horizontal line should be shown in the table.

Figures are sequentially numbered with the figures title and number under figure.

Authors Name and Affiliations

Write Author(s) names without a title and professional positions such as Prof, Dr, etc. Do not abbreviate your last/family name. Always give your full name. Write clear affiliation of all Authors.

Author affiliations should be in 12 pt Garamond.

  • Title, provided that: a) the title is the formulation of a brief discussion of content, compact, and clear. May use the title of creative and attract readers (maximum 16 words). b) the title is written in English and Indonesian. c) the title is typed in bold, use capital letters for each beginning of a word, except for conjunctions and prepositions.
  • Abstract written in English and Indonesian. Abstract is the essence of the subject of the whole article. Abstract written in one paragraph within one space, with a maximum length of 250 words. Abstract presented briefly and clearly, it must contain four (4) elements, namely: Reasons for the selection of topics or the importance of the research topic, the aims of the reseach, research methods, and finding of the results.
  • Keywords contains basic words in the study, can be drawn from the research variables, characteristics of the subjects, and the theory of the referenced (minimum three words or combinations of words, written in alphabetical order).
  • Introduction contains background of the problems, objectives and benefits of the research, the literature review, and concludes with the hypothesis (number of pages approximately 20%).
  • Method contains the identification of the variables, the research subjects, research instruments and methods of research including used data analysis techniques (the number of pages approximately 20%).
  • The result shows exposure data analysis, consisted of descriptive statistics, test results of the assumptions and results of hypothesis testing are presented sequentially or integrated (number of pages approximately 20%).
  • Discussion contains an explanation of the results of research associated with the results of previous studies, critically analyzed and linked to relevant recent literature (page number approximately 30-40%).
  • Conclusions and suggestions answers from the research objectives written concise, clear, and compact based on the results of research and discussion (approximately 1 page).
  • Bibliography contains reference sources written alphabetically and chronologically, Referral sources are published literature in the last 10 years (especially of the journal). Referral preferred are the primary sources in the form of books, reports (including dissertation), or research articles in scientific journals and magazines. References in the text using the footnote system American Psychological Association (APA) Style. It is suggested to use Mendeley as a reference manager at styling the citations and the bibliography.
