Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Articles submitted must have never been published before, and the article has never been sent in another journal.
  • Articles submitted must follow the Journal Template (English)

  • Articles submitted use the Microsoft Word format (extension: docx or doc) document file format.

  • When available, a URL for reference has been provided.
  • The article has complied with the style and bibliographic requirements described in the GFA Author Guidelines.
  • If the article is sent to the journal section of the peer-review process, make sure the article is in a Blind Review position.

Author Guidelines

General policies:

  1. The article is original from the result of field research or contextual literature research.

  2. This type of research can be qualitative, quantitative, and combination (mixed method).

  3. The article has implication(s) for scientific development and improvement of life society

  4. The article has never been published or it is not being published in any journal or proceeding.

  5. The articles can be written in English (Article Template)

  6. The manuscript should be typed 1,5 spaced on A4 size (210 x 297 mm). Cambria font 11 pt should be used with 2.5 right-aligned. Article length 5000-8000 words, not including title, abstract, and bibliography.

  7. The article’s citation writting use innote (author's name and year).

  8. The article is sent to the editor through the Open Journal System (OJS) at: https://journal.walisongo.ac.id/index.php/dakwah.

Technical instructions:

  1. Title

  • The title shows the word da'wah as the core of science, not as an approach.

  • The title is written in Bold, CAPITAL, center, maximum 12 words.

  1. Author's identity

  • The author’s identity is not written in the article, but should be inputed in the OJS registration form. The author’s name writting without title, includes affiliation or institution, email and mobile number.

  1. Abstract

  • Abstract is written in English and Indonesia between 200-250 words.

  • Abstract consists of: research background, objectives, method, finding(s) and implication(s).

  • Keyword in English and Indonesia consists of 3-5 words.

  1. Introduction

  • The introduction contains academic problems, objectives, previous research, gap analysis, and novelty.

  1. Method

  • Consists of the approach; focus and locus of research; data collection techniques and analysis.

  1. Discussion and results

  • The result and discussion consist of the finding and analysis.

  • The tables and figures must support and related with the research data.

  • The Arabic transliteration using the international standard IJMES Transliteration Chart.

  1. Conclusion and recommendation

  • The conclusion contains the answer of the research problem and it is written in a description paragraph (not numbering).

  • Recommendation (optional) contain limitations that need to be followed up in future research agenda.

  1. References

  • References consist of at least 20 references include 80% reputable scientific journals published at least the last 10 years.

  • The writing references use the APA Style format supported with the Mendeley
