Etika stand up comedy dalam proses penyampaian dakwah

The Islamic da’wah method has undergone many innovations as it adapts to the needs of mankind, especially supported by the presence of increasingly sophisticated technology and provides many conveniences for the activities of human life. Stand-up comedy da’wah is one form of innovation from the Islamic da’wah method as well as a virtual public space product that has now been in great demand by the public. Nevertheless, the presence of stand-up comedy invites pros and cons. Some scholars argue that stand-up comedy is not allowed because it looks like playing with religion, while some other scholars consider that it is permissible with due regard to limitations. This study aims to review the effectiveness of stand-up comedy da’wah amid the globalization era and discusses the ethics of stand-up comedy da’wah when delivering da’wah messages. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study were taken from documentation and audiovisual data in the form of youtube shows. The research results show that stand-up comedy da’wah, a product of virtual public spaces, has been successfully favored by the community, especially rural communities. In addition, preachers who have brought stand-up comedy as a way of da’wah can be seen from the method used by preachers in conveying messages through jokes. Even so, the message of da’wah is not entirely conveyed using jokes. That is, da’i uses ethics in preaching through stand-up comedy, by providing joke limits in conveying da’wah’s message. Stand-up comedy in da’wah must have ethical and aesthetic standards that must be met in carrying out da’wah.

Metode dakwah Islam seiring berjalannya waktu telah mengalami banyak inovasi baru sebagaimana menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan umat manusia, terlebih didukung dengan hadirnya teknologi yang semakin canggih dan memberikan banyak kemudahan bagi aktivitas kehidupan manusia. Stand up comedy dakwah merupakan salah saatu bentuk inovasi dari metode dakwah Islam sekaligus menjadi produk ruang publik virtual yang kini telah banyak diminati oleh masyarakat. Meskipun demikian, kehadiran stand up comedy mengundang pro dan kontra. Beberapa ulama berpendapat bahwa tidak diperbolehkannya stand up karena terlihat seperti mempermainkan agama, sementara beberapa ulama lain menganggap bahwa hal tersebut diperbolehkan dengan tetap memperhatikan batasan-batasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau efektifitas stand up comedy dakwah di tengah era globalisasi serta membahas tentang etika stand up comedy dakwah yang perlu diperhatikan ketika menyampaikan pesan dakwah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari dokumentasi dan data audiovisual berupa tayangan youtube. Hasil dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan menunjukan bahwa stand up comedy dakwah yang menjadi produk dari ruang publik virtual berhasil digemari masyarakat, terlebih masyarakat pedesaan. Selain itu, da’i yang telah membawakan stand up comedy sebagai jalan dakwah, hal ini terlihat dari cara yang digunakan da’i dalam menyampaikan pesan melalui selingan joke. Meskipun begitu, pesan dakwah tidak secara keseluruhan disampaikan menggunakan jokes. Artinya, da’i menggunakan etika dalam berdakwah melalui stand up comedy, dengan cara memberikan batasan lawakan dalam menyampaikan pesan dakwah. Stand up comedy dalam dakwah harus memiliki standar etis dan estetis yang harus dipenuhi dalam melakukan dakwah.
