Author Guidelines

Information for new authors 

Dear authors of the journal "Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah", 

Articles should be written in American English between approximately 6000-7500 words including text, all tables and figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication. All submission must include 100 - 110 words abstract and 3-4 keywords. Quotations, passages, and words in local or foreign languages should be translated into English.

All notes must appear in the text as citations. A citation usually requires only the last name of the author(s), year of publication, and (sometimes) page numbers. For example: (Hefner, 2009a: 45; Geertz, 1966: 114). Explanatory footnotes may be included but should not be used for simple citations. All works cited must appear in the reference list at the end of the article. In matter of bibliographical style, Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah follows the chicago 16th footnote style, such as below:

Arabic romanization should be written as follows:

Letters: btthjkhddhrzsshghfqlmnhwy. Short vowels: aiu. long vowels: āīū. Diphthongs: awayTā marbūāt. Article: al-. For detail information on Arabic Romanization, please refer the transliteration system of the Library of Congress (LC) Guidelines.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Articles submitted must have never been published before, and the article has never been sent in another journal.
  2. Articles submitted must follow the Journal Template

  3. Articles submitted use the Microsoft Word format (extension: docx or doc) document file format.

  4. When available, a URL for reference has been provided.
  5. The article has complied with the style and bibliographic requirements described in the GFA Author Guidelines.
  6. If the article is sent to the journal section of the peer-review process, make sure the article is in a Blind Review position.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
