The manuscript is compiled in accordance with the following author guidelines with the Ms Word format (download article template in Ms Word here)
Articles submitted to the Phenomenon : Jurnal Pendidikan MIPA editor must follow the following technical requirements:
General Writing requirements
- Phenomenon : Jurnal Pendidikan MIPA is published twice a year (July, October), published by the Faculty of Science and Technology Walisongo University of Semarang.
- Articles contained in the Phenomenon : Jurnal Pendidikan MIPA include writing about mathematics learning, physics learning, biology learning, chemistry learning for elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, and colleges in the form of research results.

- The manuscript that has been written under the guidelines of Phenomenon : Jurnal Pendidikan MIPA (in MS Word format, use this article template) must be submitted through Online Submission System using Open Journal System (OJS) on the Phenomenon : Jurnal Pendidikan MIPA E-journal portal (http://journal.walisongo.ac.id/index.php/Phenomenon/index )
- The manuscript which is inappropriate with the Phenomenon : Jurnal Pendidikan MIPA writing guidelines will be returned to the author before the reviewing process.
- The submitted article has not been published and is not considered for publication in other journals. The manuscript can be written both in language Indonesia with the standard language. The manuscript shuould consist of fifteen (15) to twenty (20) pages including pictures and tables. The manuscript text ought to be written as this article template in the camera ready mode. The article is written on A4-sized papers (210x297 mm), with custom margins as follows: left 25 mm, right 20 mm, bottom 20 mm and top 30 mm. Entry articles are evaluated by Expert Editor (Bestari Partner).
- The manuscript should contain several aspects of a scientific article as follows: (subtitles as the order), which are: (a) the title of the article, (b) the author’s name (no accademic title), (c) the afiliated author’s address, (d) the author’s email (e) the abstract and the keywords, (f) the introduction, (g) the research method (h), the research findings and disscussion (i), the conclusion (j), the references.
- The title can be written both in English with the standard language, maximum of 20 words, and printed in capital letters on every word, in the middle with a size of 14 pt.
- Abstract is written in two languages versions, Indonesians and English with the standard language.
- Abstract contains Introduction, Research Objectives, Research Methods, Results / Findings, Suggestions (if any), The introduction section contains elements of research rationale, research urgency, references (relevant literature or research), research objectives and benefits, no need to use subchapter titles, for example moving from research rational writing to research urgency writing, just using a new paragraph., The research method contains the type of research, time and place of research, research objectives (population and sample for quantitative research while research subjects for qualitative research); instruments, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques., The discussion is focused on linking the data and the results of their analysis to the problem or research objective and the theoretical context., The conclusion presents a summary of the description of the results and discussion and refers to the research objectives. Authors should follow a reference writing procedure based on the American Psychological Association (APA) style of context. Authors can visit www.apastyle.org to learn more about the APA style envelope. References are listed in chronological alphabetical order. Writing can use the Mendeley application.
- The tables and pictures are placed in the text group after the referenced tables or pictures. Each picture must be given a caption (Figure Caption) below the picture and be numbered in Arabic numbering format followed by the picture title. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered in Arabic numbering format above the table followed by the table title. The pictures attachment should be guaranteed that they can be printed well (font size, resolution and line space are clearly seen). The picture, the table, and the chart should be placed in the center between text groups. If it has a bigger size, it can be placed in the center of page. The table should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are allowed only for the important point.
Structure of The Manuscript
- Title. The title must describe the contents of the paper. without acronyms or abbreviations. Maximum 20 words.
- Abstract. Abstracts should be less than 250 words; without quotation. The Abstract section must contain the research objectives, research methods, results, conclusions and suggestions (if any). Please provide the abstract in Indonesian and English versions
- Introduction. This section explains the research background, state of the art, gap analysis and novelty, research problems, solutions and research objectives.
- Research Methods. This section explains the research design or procedures, subjects, location, design or experimental designs used, sampling techniques (if any), the number of samples used must be specific and clear, variables to be measured, research instruments, data collection techniques, techniques. data analysis.
- Results and Discussion. This section explains the research results. It must be presented clearly and concisely. Authors should explore the novelty, impact, or contribution of their work to the MIPA education literature (discussed through appropriate national and international literature articles.
- Conclusions. The conclusion should be an answer to the research question or objective and should be written in one paragraph. The conclusion does not contain iterations of results and discussion. Suggestions present things related to this research or what will be done for further ideas from this research.
- References. References must contain a minimum of 20 main references with more than 80% (>80%) coming from reputable journal papers along with their DOI or URL. References no more than the last 10 years. References should use a reference manager such as Mendeley, Zotero, etc
