Journal History

Al-Hilal: Journal of Islamic Astronomy was first published in 2019 as a platform to disseminate scholarly research in the field of Islamic astronomy and related disciplines. Since its inception, the journal has consistently published high-quality, peer-reviewed articles, contributing to the advancement of Islamic scientific heritage and its contemporary applications.

In 2024, Al-Hilal achieved a significant milestone by being nationally accredited (SINTA 3) based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 177/E/KPT/2024, dated October 15, 2024.

This accreditation reflects the journal’s commitment to maintaining academic excellence, editorial quality, and relevance in the field of Islamic astronomy.
