About the Journal

Teosofia: Indonesian Journal of Islamic Mysticism is an international, peer-reviewed journal published twice a year by the Faculty of Usuluddin and Humanities, Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo, Semarang, Indonesia.

The journal offers a scholarly platform for in-depth discussions of Islamic mysticism from diverse perspectives. This journal aims to explore Islamic mysticism in order to address contemporary issues and foster social and religious harmony. It encompasses textual and fieldwork studies of Islamic mysticism, drawing on various approaches and theories. The journal also welcomes contributions from scholars in related fields.

Although its name suggests that its scope is limited to studying Islamic mysticism in Indonesia, this is not the case. Teosofia: Indonesian Journal of Islamic Mysticism covers all subject areas, with its management based in Indonesia. This journal was first published in print in 2012 and has been accessible online since 2015. Then, in 2020, it was accredited (SINTA 2) by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Number: 148/M/KPT/2020.
