Open Access Policy

TEOSOFIA is committed to the principles of open access, aiming to promote the widest possible dissemination of scholarly knowledge. This journal is an open-access journal, which means all content is freely available to users and institutions without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. This policy outlines TEOSOFIA’s approach to open access publishing and its commitment to providing unrestricted access to its published articles.

Open Access Model

TEOSOFIA follows the gold open-access model, in which all articles published in the journal are freely accessible to readers without any subscription or payment barriers. The journal retains the publishing rights to the articles it publishes. Therefore, the author must submit a statement of the Copyright Transfer Agreement. The intended copyright includes the right to publish the article in various forms (including reprints). TEOSOFIA applies a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC-BY-SA), meaning that authors are allowed to share and adapt the material.

Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to TEOSOFIA agree to publish their work under the CC-BY-SA license. In line with the license, authors are allowed to share and adapt the material. In addition, the material must be given appropriate credit, provided with a link to the license, and indicated if changes were made. If authors remix, transform, or build upon the material, authors must distribute their contributions under the same license as the original.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

TEOSOFIA applies an Article Processing Charge (APC); please refer to the APC policy to support the sustainability and continuous improvement of TEOSOFIA. The APC is used to cover costs related to the management and maintenance of the journal’s electronic publishing system, DOI registration, Crossref membership, and editorial and journal management services, including peer-review management, copyediting, layout editing, and editorial oversight.

In addition, the APC supports journal operational expenses, limited print production, and the development of facilities and infrastructure that enhance the quality, integrity, and reliability of the publication process.

Archiving and Indexing

All articles published in TEOSOFIA are preserved in reputable archiving services, such as the Public Knowledge Project Private LOCKSS Network (PKP-PLN), to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, which are permitted to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration. Additionally, TEOSOFIA takes proactive measures to ensure its content is widely indexed by major databases, repositories, and search engines, increasing its discoverability and impact.

Compliance and Review

TEOSOFIA regularly reviews and updates its open access policy to align with evolving best practices and global initiatives. The journal is committed to supporting the open-access movement, promoting the free exchange of knowledge, fostering global collaboration, and advancing scientific progress.
