Correction and Retraction
A. Corrections (Errata and Corrigenda)
1. Reporting Errors
Daluang: Journal of Library and Information Science encourages authors and readers to report significant errors in published articles to the Editor-in-Chief, with supporting information where available.
2. Editorial Assessment
The Editor-in-Chief will evaluate reported errors and determine the appropriate corrective action in consultation with the authors and relevant parties, where necessary.
3. Publication of Corrections
Corrections will be published through a formal, citable notice linked to the original article. An Erratum addresses errors introduced by the journal, while a Corrigendum addresses errors made by the authors. The original article will remain accessible with a clear notice of the correction. Corrections are published free of charge.
B. Retractions
1. Grounds for Retraction
Daluang: Journal of Library and Information Science may retract articles when serious errors undermine the reliability of their findings or when significant breaches of publication ethics are identified.
2. Assessment and Retraction Notice
The Editor-in-Chief will assess the available evidence and may consult the authors, reviewers, or relevant institutions. A retraction notice will explain the reasons clearly and objectively. Retraction may be initiated by the authors or the journal, even if the authors disagree with the decision.
3. Publication and Preservation
The retraction notice will be publicly accessible and linked to the original article. The article will remain accessible, clearly marked as “Retracted,” to preserve the scholarly record and prevent misleading use. The journal will notify relevant indexing services of the retraction.
