The focus is to provide readers with a better understanding of dakwah knowledge and activities the life on Indonesian Muslims.


The subject covers textual and fieldwork studies with various perspectives of communication and broadcasting Islam, guidance and counseling Islam, management dakwah, development of Islamic societies and many more. This journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars of related disciplines.

About Journal

Journal of Da’wa Science  or Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah (JID) ISSN 1693-8054 (p) 2581-236X (e) is a journal that discusses discourse of da'wa science, published by the Faculty of Da'wa and Communication UIN Walisongo Semarang.

JID is focusing on issues of da’wa problems in Indonesia. JID intended to communicate the results of theoretical study and the results of research on da’wa. The themes in the journal include the study of texts,  field studies with various perspectives both from the standpoint of communication and broadcasting Islam, Islam counseling, da’wa management and development of Islam community.

JID published twice a year, putting the da’wa of Islam and matters relating to da’wa. The main focus is to distribute the curiosity of academic, invite experts to look da’wa comprehensively  from the perspective of communication and broadcasting of Islam, counseling Islam, da’wa management and the development of Islam community. Seeing the Islamic da’wa activities as has been practiced in reality life. JID positioning itself as a forum for reviewing the da’wa activities and things which associated with da’wa in Indonesia.

Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah (JID) is a peer-reviewed journal, published twice a year by Dakwah and Communication of Faculty, State Islamic University (UIN) Walisongo Semarang Indonesia. It is available online as open access sources as well as in print. This statement clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the editor-in-chief, the Editorial Board, the reviewer, and the publisher.

Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication
The publication of an article in Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific methods. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the editor, the reviewer, the publisher, and the society. As the publisher of Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah, Dakwah and Communication of Faculty takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing seriously and it recognizes its ethical and other responsibilities. Dakwah and Communication of Faculty committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions.
