Alsina : Journal of Arabic Studies, published two issues per year (February and August), is a peer-reviewed journal specialising in Arabic language learning and theories in general. From Volume 8, Issue 1 (2026), the journal accepts manuscripts in English only.

All submitted manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. Manuscripts must follow the author guidelines and the journal’s focus and scope, and must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the journal.

All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software for similarity checking. The editors check similarity using Turnitin, with a maximum of 20% similarity permitted.

Each research article is reviewed by at least two expert reviewers. Reviewers provide substantive comments to improve the manuscript. The final decision on acceptance is made by the editors on the basis of the reviewers’ comments. The publication sequence of accepted articles is determined by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the date of acceptance, the geographical distribution of authors, and the thematic composition of the issue.
