Open Access Policy

Alsina : Journal of Arabic Studies provides immediate open access to all of its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

What open access means here

  • All articles are available free of charge, with no subscription, registration, or paywall.
  • There is no embargo period: articles are accessible as soon as an issue is published.
  • Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles.

License

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). Anyone may copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon an article for non-commercial purposes, provided the original author and source are credited, a link to the license is given, and any derivative work is distributed under the same license.

Copyright

Upon acceptance, authors transfer the copyright of the article to the journal, which publishes it under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Authors retain broad rights to reuse and share their own work; see the Copyright Notice for details.

Repository policy (self-archiving)

Authors may deposit any version of their article in an institutional or subject repository of their choice, without embargo:

  • the submitted version (preprint);
  • the accepted version (Author Accepted Manuscript);
  • the published version (Version of Record).

When depositing the published version, authors should cite the article’s DOI and state that it is published under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Copyright remains with the journal; this policy grants authors permission to deposit and share their work in this way.

For authors and institutions

Readers and their institutions are not charged. Journal operations are supported by the State through the DIPA of UIN Walisongo Semarang and by the article processing charge described on the Author Fees page.
