Conflict of Interest

Jawda: The Journal of Islamic Education Management is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity in the entire scientific publication process. All authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose and appropriately manage any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that may affect research, the peer-review process, or editorial decisions.

1. Author

All authors are required to disclose financial or non-financial interests that may affect or be perceived to affect research results, interpretation of findings, or publication of manuscripts. Relevant conflicts of interest may include employment relationships, consulting, honoraria, research grants, funding, personal or professional relationships, institutional affiliations, competing research interests, intellectual property rights, and other relationships that may affect the objectivity of scientific work. In the context of Islamic education management research, the author must also disclose any relationships with educational institutions, foundations, organizations, funders, or other parties that are the subject of the research or are interested in the research results, if such relationships have the potential to affect the independence of the research.

All sources of financial research support must be clearly stated in the manuscript. The author is responsible for ensuring that any statements regarding conflicts of interest and funding are conveyed accurately, completely, and transparently. If there is no conflict of interest, the author must include the following statement in the manuscript: "The authors state that there is no conflict of interest." If there is a conflict of interest, the writer is obliged to provide a statement explaining the nature of the conflict and, if relevant, the steps that have been taken to manage it.

2. Editor

Editors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest that are actual, potential, or perceived related to the submitted manuscript. Editors who have a conflict of interest in a manuscript are not allowed to be involved in the evaluation process or editorial decision-making on the manuscript. Manuscripts should be assigned to independent editors who can guarantee an objective and impartial assessment process. Editorial conflicts of interest may include personal relationships, academic collaboration, institutional affiliations, financial interests, relationships with authors, or involvement in research under review. Editors are not allowed to use information, data, or ideas that have not been published and obtained through the editorial process for research purposes or personal gain without the written consent of the author.

3. Reviewer

Reviewers are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest before accepting manuscript review assignments. Conflicts of interest may arise from financial interests, personal relationships, professional collaboration, institutional affiliations, academic competition, or other relationships with the author, organization, or institution related to the manuscript. Reviewers who are aware of a conflict of interest that may interfere with the objectivity of their assessment must immediately notify the editor and reject or resign from the review process.

Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript under review. They are not allowed to use information or ideas obtained through the peer review process for personal or professional gain. Reviewers must also ensure that the assessment is based on scientific quality, originality, methodological accuracy, relevance to the scope of Jawda, and the manuscript's contribution to the development of Islamic education management.

4. Editorial Management

Jawda is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions are based on scientific quality, originality, methodological accuracy, relevance to the journal's scope, and the manuscript's contribution to the development of Islamic education management science and practice. Advertising, reprint sales, or other commercial revenue sources should not influence editorial decisions. Decisions to accept or reject manuscripts should be made independently based on the results of scientific evaluation and the journal's editorial policies.

Jawda will review any expressed conflicts of interest and take the necessary steps to maintain the fairness, independence, transparency, and integrity of the editorial process and peer review. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest or submission of inaccurate statements may be grounds for further editorial scrutiny and actions in accordance with the ethics policies of Jawda publications. By submitting a manuscript to Jawda, all authors declare that all relevant conflicts of interest and sources of financial support have been disclosed accurately and transparently. The author is also responsible for immediately notifying the editorial team if there are changes in information related to conflicts of interest during the review process or after publication.
