Post-Publication Discussion

Jawda: The Journal of Islamic Education Management views post-publication discussions as an important part of maintaining integrity, transparency, and the sustainable development of scientific knowledge. The journal opens up space for constructive academic discussion of published articles, including scientific commentary, critical evaluation, clarification, and responses that contribute to the development of Islamic education management theory, research, and practice.

1. Post-publication comment submission

Readers and researchers can submit comments or scientific responses to articles published in Jawda. Submissions must address substantive scientific issues, such as the theoretical framework, research methodology, data interpretation, the validity of conclusions, the implications of findings, or the relevance of research results to Islamic education management policies and practices. All submissions must be based on credible evidence, relevant to the article being discussed, presented professionally and courteously, and supported by appropriate scientific references where necessary. Personal attacks, defamatory statements, unsubstantiated allegations, and comments that are unrelated to the scientific substance of the article will not be considered for publication.

2. Editorial Assessment

All post-publication comments and responses will go through editorial assessment. Editors evaluate relevance, scientific feasibility, factual accuracy, adherence to academic ethics, and contribution of submissions to scientific discussion. If necessary, the editor may request revision of the manuscript, consult with independent experts, or request clarification from the original author of the article under discussion. Jawda reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet the journal's editorial and publication ethics standards.

3. Right of Response

If a post-publication comment contains questions, criticisms, or substantive objections to the published article, the journal may invite the original author to respond. Authors are expected to answer the questions raised objectively, include supporting evidence if necessary, and explain limitations or uncertainties in published research. The decision to publish comments and accompanying responses is at the discretion of the editor. Jawda is committed to ensuring that differences in scientific views are handled fairly, proportionately, and evenly so that readers gain an adequate understanding of the issues being discussed.

4. Corrections and Retractions

Post-publication discussions that identify possible errors, inaccuracies, or issues related to research integrity will be evaluated in accordance with Jawda's publication ethics policy. If significant errors are found, the journal may issue corrections or other appropriate editorial notices. If the problems found indicate that the article's validity or integrity is seriously compromised, editors may conduct further examinations, consult independent experts, and contact the authors or relevant institutions if necessary. Article retraction can be considered if the results of the examination show that the article meets the withdrawal criteria in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy. All corrective actions are carried out transparently to maintain the accuracy and integrity of scientific records.

5. Ethics and Confidentiality Standards

All parties involved in post-publication discussions are required to uphold academic integrity, objectivity, fairness, and confidentiality in accordance with applicable regulations. Authors, commenters, reviewers, and editors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and not use discussion mechanisms for personal, professional, or other improper purposes. Alleged violations of research ethics or integrity should be handled carefully and evaluated based on credible evidence. To the extent relevant to the review process, interested parties are given a reasonable opportunity to submit clarifications or responses before an editorial decision is made.

6. Publication and Accessibility

Post-publication comments, author responses, and related editorial notices that have been received may be published through the journal's website or other appropriate publication mechanisms. Each published material must clearly identify the article being discussed and provide adequate context for readers to understand the scientific issues presented.

Jawda strives to maintain the transparency of the scientific record and to ensure that substantive issues that arise after publication, and the results of their handling, are appropriately communicated to readers. Through this policy, Jawda is committed to encouraging constructive scientific dialogue, following up on issues related to published research that can be addressed, and maintaining the reliability and credibility of scientific publications in the field of Islamic education management.
