PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK SEBAGAI PENDEKATAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA

Abstract
Matematika sering dianggap sebagai salah satu pela- jaran yang sulit bagi siswa. Salah satu tugas seorang pen- didik adalah bagaimana membuat matematika lebih men- arik bagi siswa. Berdasarkan fakta diatas mendorong Hans Frudenthal mencetuskan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik yang memandang matematika bukan sebagai suatu produk jadi yang diberikan kepada siswa, melainkan sebagai suatu proses yang dikonstruksi siswa. Frudenthal berpendapat bahwa matematika adalah suatu bentuk aktivitas manusia, aktivitas dalam mengkonstruksi konsep matematika.
