JIEEd is committed to the long-term digital preservation, authenticity, discoverability, and accessibility of its scholarly record.

Electronic Archiving and Preservation

Publishing Platform
Published articles, issues, article metadata, and editorial notices are maintained using Open Journal Systems (OJS 3).
Distributed Preservation
The journal designates the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN / PKP-PLN), based on the LOCKSS principle, as its preservation mechanism, subject to operational plugin configuration and successful deposits.
Persistent Identification
The journal maintains publication metadata and DOI links to support discovery and continuity of access.

Preserved Content

  • Version of Record of published Original Research Articles and Review Articles.
  • Published journal issues, PDF files, bibliographic information, and available supplementary content.
  • Publication notices, corrections, expressions of concern, and retraction notices, with appropriate links to affected articles.

Operational Safeguards

Backup, access controls, integrity checks, and platform migration procedures complement distributed preservation. The existence of a preservation policy does not by itself confirm that every issue has already been deposited in a preservation network. Confidential review records and restricted participant data are managed separately.
