Journal of Integrated Elementary Education (JIEEd) uses a fair, independent, confidential peer-review process to evaluate submissions on scholarly merit, originality, rigor, and relevance to elementary education.

Peer Review Model

Review Type
Single-anonymous (single-blind): reviewers normally know the authors’ identities; authors do not routinely know reviewers’ identities.
Independent Review
Manuscripts passing editorial screening are assessed by at least two independent, qualified reviewers.
Reviewer Target
An individual reviewer is typically asked to complete a review within 2–5 weeks of accepting the invitation; the total decision time is not guaranteed.

Editorial Workflow

  • Submission: complete manuscript and metadata are uploaded through OJS.
  • Initial screening: scope, article type, technical requirements, originality, ethics, and overall scholarly suitability are checked.
  • Review: independent experts evaluate the research question, theory, methods, evidence, interpretation, and contribution.
  • Revision: authors provide a revised manuscript and point-by-point response when invited.
  • Decision and production: an authorized editor makes the final evidence-based decision; accepted work proceeds to copyediting and publication.

Integrity and Independence

Reviewers must preserve confidentiality and disclose competing interests. Editors handle conflicting reports fairly, may request additional assessment, and retain responsibility for the final decision. Editorial decisions are not influenced by author fees or inappropriate personal, institutional, or financial considerations.
